PRACTICAL INFORMATION • GRAND COUDE (SAINT-JOSEPH)

Plan Your Visit to Le Labyrinthe En-Champ-Thé

Everything you need to make the most of your visit to our tea estate and agricultural maze on Reunion Island.

How do I book and what are the ticket prices?

• Self-Guided Tour (€6 / adult, €5 for children aged 6–12): No booking required, continuous access between 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM.

What are your opening hours in Grand Coude?

The estate is open every day.Self-guided entry to the maze is available continuously from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM (guided tours depart at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM). The artisanal farm shop and the Tea House remain open until 5:00 PM.

What is the difference between a self-guided and a guided tour?

• Guided Tour (approx. 1 hr): Led by a guide, discover the heritage of tea in Reunion Island, rose geranium cultivation, and artisanal distillation, followed by an expert tasting of our locally grown teas (white, green, and black). (Please note: guided tours are currently held in French only).

• Self-Guided Tour: Explore the tea maze at your own pace using an interactive digital mobile game and family-friendly riddles, followed by a tea tasting. The ideal choice for families!

What is the recommended dress code, and is the trail accessible with pushchairs or limited mobility?

We recommend sneakers or closed-toe shoes. (heels and flip-flops are not recommended). The maze paths run through a tea grove with natural exposed roots, making them difficult for pushchairs and visitors with reduced mobility; a baby carrier is strongly recommended. However, our shop and the Tea House are single-level and fully accessible to everyone.

What happens in case of rain, and are dogs allowed?

• Weather: At an altitude of 1,100 metres in the highlands of Saint-Joseph, misty or wet conditions can occur. In the event of heavy rain, guided tours may be postponed or replaced by a sheltered indoor tasting. Self-guided visits remain open but are less enjoyable during downpours: we recommend bringing a waterproof jacket or poncho (umbrellas are cumbersome between the tea branches).

• Pets: Dogs on a lead are welcome during self-guided visits. However, they are not permitted on guided tours or inside the shop.

Can I purchase your products without touring the estate, or order online?

Yes, access to our shop is free and open to everyone from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM to discover our organic teas, rose geranium essential oils, artisanal jellies, and shortbreads. You can also explore our entire collection on our online store, with shipping available across Reunion Island and mainland France. For international delivery inquiries, please contact our team directly at info@enchampthe.com. boutique en ligne, avec expédition partout à La Réunion et en France métropolitaine.
